Scientists and Engineers Early Career Development (SEED) Workshop 2026

​

The Scientists and Engineers Early Career Development (SEED) Workshop 2026 will take place on August 4 (afternoon) – August 5 (afternoon), 2026, at the Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate, Florida, prior to UKC 2026.

​

Since its inception in 2013, the SEED Workshop has been a flagship program of KSEA dedicated to fostering the professional growth of early-career members, including Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, junior faculty, and early-career professionals in industry and national laboratories.

​

SEED 2026 will bring together approximately 80 participants and 15 distinguished mentors, providing a dynamic platform for meaningful engagement. Through interactive sessions, participants will explore career pathways, discuss emerging trends across disciplines, and build lasting mentoring relationships.

​

The program is designed to empower the next generation of scientists and engineers by offering guidance, networking opportunities, and insights essential for successful career development.

Fostering Innovation in Rising Experts (FIRE) Symposium 2026

The Fostering Innovation in Rising Experts (FIRE) Symposium 2026 will be held as part of UKC 2026, bringing together students and early-career professionals across diverse STEM fields.
​
Building upon the success of previous years, the FIRE Symposium continues its mission to empower the next generation of leaders by providing a dynamic platform for growth, collaboration, and innovation.
​
Under the theme “From Imagination to Innovation – Into Reality,” FIRE 2026 will focus on translating ideas into real-world impact. Through engaging discussions on career development, mentorship, and emerging technologies, participants will gain valuable insights and practical strategies to navigate their professional journeys.
​
The symposium also offers meaningful networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with peers, mentors, and leaders from academia, industry, and national laboratories. By sharing experiences and perspectives, attendees will strengthen their leadership potential and expand their professional horizons.

FIRE 2026 is designed to inspire, equip, and connect rising experts as they shape the future of science, technology, and innovation.
